Wet Paint LIVE takes place on Wednesday, February 12th

Each year, local artists step out to paint “en plein air” ie, outdoors, all around Marco Island. The event this year is set for Wednesday, Feb 12 from 9:00 to 3:00. The culmination of all this art-making is that all the works will be offered for sale at auction. The auction venue is the Rose history auditorium at the Marco Island Museum on Heathwood Drive. Viewing will be from 5:30 to 6:45, with the auction action commencing at 7:00 PM.

Among the artists contributing work will be Carolyn Burger, Judy Chinski, Popo Flanagan, Sara Jane Foltz, Judy Harthorn, Lee Horton, Inez Hudson, Don Mills, Mary Moran, William Ward Mosely, Betty Newman, Tara O’Neill, Phylis Pransky, Gail Trent Risner, Joan Scherer, Karen Swanker, Malenda Trick and Victor Hugo Vaca Jr. Proceeds from the auction will support the Leadership Marco Scholarship Fund. Admission is $35 per person and includes a buffet from Kretch’s Restaurant with a cash bar. Tickets may be purchased at the Marco Island
Area Chamber of Commerce, the Marco Island Center for the Arts or at the door on the night of the event.
